Springtime hits Seattle!

We've been having our February teaser for over a week now - sunny days with bright blue skies, upper 50's/low 60's, and the mountains are OUT 360 degrees around the city. Love it!! Just wish it would stay this way through May ... ! Toriana is very content to join me on walks around the neighborhood or at Green Lake as long as the stroller ride is bumpy (cross-country is her favorite terrain!).
I missed the 2008 NW Flower and Garden Show last week and to try to make myself feel better, I bought this fun springy outfit for the little Missy during a recent excursion to Babies R Us. I hope you're seeing some crocuses and sunshine where you live, too!

Four weeks old!!

Save for a few bumps in the road, things continue to go well for these 3 Z's. Toriana is starting to sleep a little longer at a time and she's tracking objects and wanting to interact more which is fun for us. Thanks for all who responded to the poll - Toriana will sleep in her carseat or with us and literally no where else. Whenever she's "totally" konked out, I'll gently place her in her bassinet and she's fully awake and complaining within less than 2 minutes no matter what tricks I try. Her swing? Great way to wake her up when we need her to stop napping. Oh well, at least she will indeed sleep somewhere, sometimes ... so who's to complain?! We just had our first restaurant outing - Toriana and I went to Panera Bread with Laura ... she slept the whole time so it was deemed a very successful first attempt! I did one lap around Green Lake on Saturday so next up is to try doing a lap with Toriana in the Moby Wrap. Ok, that's our scoop ... G'day!

Growing Along, one feeding after another!

First bath was a real hit!17 days old - making lots of funny faces now
Here are a few pictures of growing baby Toriana! She was 7 lbs, 13.5 oz at her doctor visit yesterday. Mom's still learning the art of napping, but she'd score at least a C+ now, up from a D- when she started! Practice makes perfect (that or utter exhaustion!) I'm going to post a new survey soon but for now ... baby's asleep so I should be too! Happy Groundhog Day!
