Or, I could tell all about Toriana on about January 15, 2010. But that is quite a complex undertaking (for which I am thankful!) She's developing wonderfully - has an increasingly large vocubulary, is putting a couple words together regularly ("daddy work" or "birds night night" - meaning we don't see them at the feeder). There are countless words that are spoken ever so clearly, if in fact you happen to be Toriana. For the rest of us, the clarity is missing in spite of our best efforts. Which leads right into our next subject: temper tantrums. Wow, somebody flipped THAT switch almost exactly on her birthday. I think there was an extra sweetness these past few months so that I can stand these tantrums (and so that I have hope they'll go away and my sweet girl will return!) Two helpful bits of advice I've heard: 1) if you want a pleasant 3 yr old, be diligent about defining the boundaries now even though it's often not very pleasant and 2) Two-year olds have BIG emotion. This is NORMAL. We go for our 2 year checkup on Monday but unofficially we think she's about 27 # (still) and around 35" ... she wears a 7.5 shoe and 2T clothes. Her imagination is starting to peek through. Her favorite activites are playing with playdoh (especially with Daddy), listening to music and shaking rattles/scarves/dancing, and helping Mommy cook. We are hopeful that sleep will be a more pleasant subject in our household this year than it has been in the past 2. Oh, and there is only 1 more 2 yr molar before we're done blaming grumpy behavior and sleeplessness on teething!
That, in a nutshell, is Toriana at 2. And that concludes my post save for one little video for GST's sake (and, in fact, with mention of said subject and her mother, but alas, not her father this time!) All of our birthday videos are on Trevan's camcorder which is NOT blog-appropriate (20 minutes later, you will at least feel as if you were there, but ... !)
