Six months and counting

Toriana turned 6 months old last Tuesday and ate her first rice cereal in celebration. Her parents ate chocolate cupcakes instead ... luckily she doesn't yet know what she was missing! She is curious about food but not really too enamoured with it now that she's tasted it (of course, who WOULD be enthusiastic about bland rice cereal!?) Next up, veggies - green and orange smears all over the face will show up better in pictures, at least. She doesn't exactly need the calories - at her check up, she weighed in at 17lbs 14 oz (85th percentile!) and 26" (60th percentile). Although she's still quite partial to mommy, she's taking a turn for the friendlier - yay! Here are a few pics including a whirlwind trip to the Sequim Lavender festival with my cousin Melanie and her daughter Haley, from GA. Thanks for the lists of summer words last post! And happy 8th anniversary to us, today! =)

PS: there are zillions more pictures at photosbyjillz.shutterfly.com - the password is our last name. Enjoy!

She is such a cutie. From the two teeth to her rolly polly size she is right there with McKenon. She actually weighs more! Can't wait to see her in person at Milltown!

Whoa - it's been 8 years since we were basking in the sun at the beach in Hawaii?? Seems just like yesterday (or maybe last week). I need a trip back! Toriana is just too cute! I love the lavender field picture.
