Learning to change plans!
So ... never mind the previous post details ... got a call at 12 noon saying I was scheduled for the external cephalic version at 4pm at the Birthing Center ... gulp! Thanks to the holidays, it was a one-time chance being offered because the super good, usually successful Dr. Branden would otherwise be on vacation and unavailable until too late. SO, I spent 2 hrs doing everything "natural" in the book and she wouldn't budge (even drank the WHOLE cup of herb tea!) ... so, Trev picked me up and away we went. Long story short, she's now HEAD DOWN!! Thanks, Dr. Branden! It was "uncomfortable" but not really that bad. Now, she needs to stay that way!!! He said that as hard as she was to turn, he'd be really surprised if she turned back. So, that's the latest chapter. Hoping for a few quiet, uneventful days now!!!?

Wow! What an ordeal! The Dr.'s I worked for there in Seattle did those versions. Really fun to watch, but I think I'd rather be watching than be the active participant! Glad they did the UTS when they did or you'd probably be headed down c-section alley (not too fun either). It is rare that they turn again, so you should be good to go now. If she does turn now though as big as she is, you will definitely know it!:) Looks like lots of hairbows are in her future!
Hi,
I found this site in a round about way:-) through Damian's mom;-)
I am glad things went well yesterday. I was thinking about you all afternoon!
So... my news is... I cannot wait to be an auntie and hold your sweet baby girl...
much love!

Oh wow!!!!! I'm so glad it went well....sorry you had to go through that ordeal...not fun....but better than the alternative, right?! Whewee...now that you have got that over and done, you can breathe a bit easier....it's the downhill slide, now....can't wait to meet your sweet little girl...Hugs, Laurie and girlies xo
Hey Jill, hope to get to meet you some day. Glad you got that baby turned. I don't have experience in the matter but did go to a chiro that said he could turn babies with chiro treatments. He's trained in the Webster technique, for what it's worth. Hope you're enjoying every minute of you 40 week experience.

Yaaaay Momma and Baby Zosel! So glad to hear all is right again, even if it does mean being suspended upside down! -Kosha
P.S. Yay Trevin too for being so supportive-- you're a good dad already.
Yippee Jill...I am so glad for you! Hopefully a nice natural delivery for you! She will probably come before this guy arrives...I am learning boys are stubborn!
Jill, I'm glad to hear the good news! I've seen enough versions to be glad Marissa knew which was the right way out...I'm so glad your little girl turned! Hopefully she stays put, keeps giving you kicks in the ribs, & enjoys her warm home for a couple more weeks! Happy Holidays! Love, Dayla
Hope your little one stays the right way, er, wrong way up now! Funny, but a similar thing happened to me at about 7.5 months w/TLC. After a very active day (on my part) she decided to protest by turning a somersault...it was the weirdest feeling. Of course, that was before all the high-tech gadgetry, so my dr. said she'd probably turn back over gradually on her own and that's just what she did.
(I commented on an earlier post as "escondlc" but this is the one I usually use.)
Yay! I wish you both the best of luck when she makes her appearance!
Hi Jill, sorry I find out your news so late, but by that time ...we were busy with our baby, who came 2 days after the due date (hope yours comes sooner, as you would like). So, life is so much busier now with two babies... But we are happy everything went well and we are both over safely and healthy.
Wish you a easy delivery. Can't wait to hear the news!!!!!
Ivona.
